County Administrative Center shines green for Veterans Day

Operation Green Light shines light on veterans needs and available help

This Veterans Day, the County of Riverside will shine a new light on the needs of veterans – literally and figuratively. By bathing the County

Administrative Center in green light, the county joins a new national initiative called Operation Green Light by the National Association

of Counties, to increase understanding of the challenges faced by many veterans. While many resources are available to support

veterans and their families, many do not seek services. Riverside County honors all veterans and encourages them to contact

the local Riverside County Department of Veterans’ Services for assistance in applying for the benefits and services they have

earned for their service to our country.

WHAT:          County leaders and local veterans will flip a light switch to turn the County Administrative Center

(CAC) green in honor of our local veterans and their families who have bravely served our country.

The green lights are a way to let veterans know they are seen, appreciated and supported. The CAC

will stay lit through Veterans Day on November 11.
