Building on the $17 Billion Milestone Achieved in 2024, Investment Growth Demonstrates Ongoing Success and Strategic Management
Riverside, CA – The County of Riverside Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office is thrilled to announce a major financial milestone. In April, the county’s investment pool soared to a record $18 billion in assets under management, underscoring the dynamic growth and financial strength of California’s fourth-largest county.
"We’re so proud of our department for reaching this new milestone of $18 billion in the investment pool," states Matthew Jennings, County Treasurer-Tax Collector. "This continued growth reflects the strength of our disciplined investment strategies and the enduring trust of our stakeholders. It reinforces our commitment to serving the community’s evolving needs and supporting long-term economic endurance.”
The investment pool holds top ratings from two leading bond credit agencies: FitchRatings AAAf/S1 and Moody’s Aaa-bf. Fitch’s AAAf reflects the highest credit quality, with S1 indicating low market sensitivity, while Moody’s Aaa-bf denotes the lowest credit risk for bond funds. These ratings highlight Riverside County’s strong capacity to achieve investment objectives while maintaining exceptional credit quality.
The Pooled Investment Fund is vital to providing funds essential for public services, infrastructure projects, and community initiatives. Managed with a focus on preserving principal, maintaining liquidity, and maximizing returns, the pool plays a key role in supporting the county's long-term fiscal stability and sustainability.
"Our commitment to transparency, accountability, and fiduciary responsibility remains firm as we manage the county’s investments," added Assistant Treasurer-Tax Collector Giovane Pizano. "With this milestone of $18 billion, we continue to be focused on ensuring that every dollar entrusted to us is managed with the utmost care for Riverside County's residents and businesses."
