NEWS RELEASE

10,000 visitors expected at Riverside Convention Center for Friday and Saturday’s events

Riverside, CA—RUHS Festival of Trees is returning to the downtown Riverside Convention Center this Saturday and Sunday with free family fun, including dozens of dazzling trees and landscapes, a gift fair, local performances, and more Santa time than ever.

The event coincides with the inaugural weekend of the 30th annual Festival of Lights downtown. This year marks the first season since 2019 that the beloved holiday tradition is returning to its regular location at the Convention Center.

Doors to the Festival of Trees will be open Friday and Saturday between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. at the downtown Riverside Convention Center, 3637 5th Street, Riverside.  For more information, visit ruhsfoundation.org.

The Festival of Trees raises awareness and support for Riverside University Health System – Medical Center’s neonatal and pediatric intensive care units and the Child Abuse and Neglect Unit. This year’s gala, held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, raised more than $550,000 to support vital pediatric care for Riverside County children and families.

More than 10,000 visitors of all ages are expected to immerse themselves in the spirit of the holidays over the weekend of free fun and entertainment, said Nicole Peterson-Orr, executive director of RUHS Foundation.

“We are looking forward to welcoming our community with open arms to say ‘thank you’ for supporting the work and mission of Riverside University Health System all year long and to celebrate the spirt of our community and being together over the holidays,” Orr said. “We have so much to be thankful for.”
