Riverside County Assessor-Clerk-Recorder Partners with Secretary of State to Expand Local Access to Authentication Services
April 2, 2025
RIVERSIDE, CA – The Riverside County Assessor-Clerk-Recorder (ACR) is pleased to partner with the California Secretary of State’s Office to host an Apostille Pop-Up Shop on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the ACR Gateway office, located at 2724 Gateway Drive, Riverside, CA 92507. Free parking will be available.
This event is part of a statewide Apostille Pop-Up Shop series led by the California Secretary of State to bring in-person authentication services directly to communities across the state. The Riverside County event marks the second collaboration between the two agencies, following a highly attended and well-received pop-up in 2024.
An apostille is a certificate that authenticates the signature of a California public official on a document for use in another country. It verifies the authenticity of the signature, the capacity in which the signer acted, and, when applicable, the identity of the seal or stamp attached to the document—such as a notary public seal. Apostilles are commonly required for documents related to adoptions, academic records, legal proceedings, and business transactions abroad.
“One of the most important aspects of my role as California’s Secretary of State is to ensure that the services we provide are customer-friendly,” said Secretary of State Dr. Shirley N. Weber. “Offering apostille services in community locations such as Riverside allows my office to bring government to people in need of services. I appreciate Riverside officials partnering with us to better serve their community.”
“We’re proud to host the Apostille Pop-Up Shop again this year and continue our efforts to make government more accessible,” said Peter Aldana, Riverside County Assessor-Clerk-Recorder. “This event reflects our commitment to simplifying the business of life for Riverside County residents by delivering services in ways that are timely, practical, and centered around community needs.”
Accepted forms of payment include Visa, Mastercard, check, and money order. Please note: cash will not be accepted.
