Join the recycling revolution!  Learn the basics of recycling and how to prepare items that you want to recycle. Discover effective ways to sort your recyclables and how to handle waste that cannot be placed in your curbside bins.  Attendees receive resources and valuable links that will help them implement more efficient methods of sorting waste at home or in the office. Join us and learn how easy it is to become a better recycler.  Our presenting Recycling Specialist will be available to address any recycling questions you may have.

The Waste Resources Department offers a variety of FREE environmental education classes related to waste reduction and sustainability. Class instructors provide attendees with professional learning and instructional materials that demonstrate environmental diversion themes such as composting, recycling, and green cleaning. These programs are offered to increase awareness of waste reduction and advantages of recycling to help preserve valuable space in county landfills.
