Background
The Successor Agency has succeeded to certain rights of the former Redevelopment Agency for the County of Riverside (Former Agency).
The Successor Agencies were established to manage the wind down activities of the Former Agency which includes, managing the redevelopment projects currently underway, making payments on enforceable obligations and disposal of redevelopment assets and properties.
The Countywide Oversight Board was formed in 2018, as a result of state legislation that consolidated all oversight boards of successor agencies. As a result, the Countywide Oversight Board was created to oversee the wind down activities of the various successor agencies in Riverside County.
