Inaugural Veterans Town Hall

April 23, 2025

NORCO, CA – Riverside County Second District Supervisor Karen Spiegel, together with the Veterans Advisory Committee, the Department of Veterans Services, American Legion Post 328, and Veterans Serving Veterans, Norco, will host the inaugural Veterans Town Hall on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 328, located at 3888 Old Hamner Rd, Norco, CA 92860.

This event is the first in Riverside County as the Veterans Advisory Council transitions from the traditional legislative breakfasts to a more interactive, town hall-style format. The goal is to provide veterans with direct access to county departments and community-based organizations that offer critical resources, services, and support.

“This new town hall format allows us to meet veterans where they are, in their communities, and ensure they have a clear understanding of the services available to them,” said Supervisor Spiegel. “I’m proud to collaborate with our county team and local veteran groups to bring this information directly to the heroes who have served our nation.”

Veterans in attendance will hear from several Riverside County departments, including Behavioral Health, Housing and Workforce Solutions, the Assessor-Clerk-Recorder, the Office on Aging, and more. Presenters will share updates about programs and services tailored to veterans, followed by an opportunity to visit each department’s booth to ask questions and gather information.

“This is an informational meeting and commitment to our veterans,” said Greg Coffos, Director of Riverside County Veterans Services and a U.S. Navy veteran. “Events like this allow us to connect face-to-face with the individuals we serve, listen to their needs, and make sure no one slips through the cracks when it comes to access to benefits and support.”

All local veterans, active-duty service members, and their families are invited to attend. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., and light refreshments will be available.
