Children’s services resources work in partnership with families, communities, the courts and other governmental entities to ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of our young residents. The following organizations provide protection, care and permanency for children in need.
Adoption and Foster Care
Riverside County’s Department of Public Social Services offers information on how to adopt a child or become a foster care family.
CalWORKs (Child Care)
CalWORKs offers temporary financial assistance for eligible-income families who have lost or had a reduction in their income. The program provides families the means to meet their basic needs in times of hardship, while helping them to enter or re-enter the workforce.

Riverside University System – Public Health
Child health and disability prevention services include physical exams, vision and hearing testing, as well as tests for anemia and lead poisoning. Public Health also provides immunizations and nutritional assessment for children. Visit the Riverside University Public Health System Website.
Riverside County Department of Child Support Services
The Riverside County Department of Child Support Services works with parents and guardians to ensure children and families receive court-ordered financial and medical support. Services include locating and establishing paternity; creating, modifying and enforcing a court order for child support and health coverage.
