The County of Riverside is committed to applying an equity lens, to internal policies and practices, adopting preventive measures, and developing initiatives and programs to improve access to services and fight systemic racism and implicit bias to further health, wellness and equity in all aspects of community life.

What is EAO?

EQUITY - The consistent, systematic, fair, just and impartial treatment of individuals, including individuals who belong to underserved communities and communities of color.

ACCESS - The design, construction, development and maintenance of programs, services, information and communication technology, and facilities, so that all people, including people with disabilities, can fully and independently use them.

OPPORTUNITY - The intentional creation of resources that enable individuals and communities, regardless of their background or circumstances, to pursue and achieve their full potential.
