Vote-by-Mail ballots on the way to voters in one city for November 7 election

Approximately 36,080 vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed to voters in the City of Perris starting today, Oct. 10, for the Special Measure Election on Nov. 7. 

Completed ballots must be received at the Registrar of Voters Office or ballot drop-off locations within the City of Perris no later than the close of polls on Election Day or be postmarked on or before Election Day and received no later than seven days after Election Day to be counted.

Early voting at the Registrar of Voters office began Tuesday, Oct. 10 and continues Monday through Friday (excluding county holidays), from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The Registrar of Voters office will be open to the public on Saturday, Oct. 28 and Sunday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The registrar’s office will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Nov. 7 special measure election is not a countywide election. Registered voters in the City of Perris are eligible to cast votes in this election. For questions about your eligibility to vote, contact the registrar’s office at (951) 486-7200.

If you want to register, update your address, or change your political party preference, you must complete a voter registration application and submit it by Oct. 23. You can register online at registertovote.ca.gov or request a paper application by calling (951) 486-7200.

Special Note: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) is available to eligible voters in California pursuant to Election Codes 2170 through 2173. CVR extends the existing 15-day registration deadline to eligible voters, allowing them to register and vote 14 days prior to an election through Election Day.
