The 2nd Veterans Fishing Day Trout Derby

The 2nd Veterans Fishing Day Trout Derby will be held on Saturday, February 18 at Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park!

The derby is open to everyone, and starts at 7 a.m., with prizes awarded at noon.

Please pre-register online at http://bit.ly/veteransfishingderby.  Admission and fishing is free for veterans, military and everyone in the vehicle; general admission is $15 ($10 admission/fishing collected at the gate and $5 CASH derby fee at the derby booth).  A state fishing license is required for all over the age of 16 to fish.

This event will benefit local veterans’ organizations.  Our Veterans Cabinet is helping organize this event, alongside the Desert Recreation District, the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District and other organizations.  It was a major hit when we last had it and we look forward to having a great fishing derby again.
