This class explores the basics of zero waste and sustainability – what is zero waste, waste creation, and waste reduction strategies for every room in your house. Attendees receive resources and valuable links that will help them implement zero waste practices in their home or in the office. Join us and learn how easy it is to become zero waste!
The Riverside County Department of Waste Resources offers a variety of FREE environmental education classes related to waste reduction and sustainability. Class instructors provide attendees with professional learning and instructional materials that demonstrate environmental diversion themes such as composting, recycling, and green cleaning. These programs are offered to increase awareness of waste reduction and advantages of recycling to help preserve valuable space in county landfills.
