Supervisor Karen Spiegel and Glen Eden Sun Club Announce Unveiling of New Anti-Glare Fence

Temescal Valley, CA – Supervisor Karen Spiegel, in collaboration with the Glen Eden Sun Club, is proud to unveil the newly installed anti-glare fence for the safety and well-being of the Glen Eden Sun Club members and the broader Temescal Valley community, at an unveiling ceremony on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 5:30 PM at the corner of Glen Eden Road and De Palma Road in Temescal Valley.
The state-of-the-art anti-glare fence was championed by Supervisor Karen Spiegel and installed by the County of Riverside Transportation Department as a necessary measure to counteract the hazards associated with an intense glare from the oncoming traffic of Interstate 15 that previously affected the area. This new installation is a testament to Supervisor Spiegel’s commitment to community safety and proactive problem-solving.
"We would like to thank Supervisor Spiegel for listening to our concerns regarding the dangers of making left-hand turns from Glen Eden Road onto DePalma Road. The bright glare from on-coming traffic on DePalma and the 15 Freeway posed a definite threat," says Steve Spencer, President of Glen Eden Sun Club. "Supervisor Spiegel worked with the community to install an anti-glare fence to alleviate the hazard. The anti-glare fence is not just a barrier against the oncoming headlights; it's an example of what we can accomplish when we work together for the collective good. Supervisor Spiegel's leadership in this project is greatly appreciated and underscores future opportunities for cooperative efforts that respond to the needs of the Temescal Valley community."
